A couple of weeks ago I posted about my rose and that it hadn't grown any. Well, the heat finally let up week before last (it was in the high 90's until then) and the rose just took off. It has gotten taller buy about 10". It has dropped leaves but it is growing. Everything above the line in the second pic is new growth.
That little rose is begging to be in the ground for cool roots and room to grow!
I believe that potted plants keep the roots to hot, especially in the hot summers in the South. I found that some of my potted plants here in Southwest Texas do better when I put them under the pergola and keep a plastic saucer under them to hold water for them throughout the day. You might try moving it to a little indirect light and put a pot saucer under it to help it drink during the extremely hot weather.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
