The one blooming must have hit a sweet spot with itβs roots .
I hope
Hopefully a good crop. One of my 2 yo peach has two tiny fruits on it.
Last year 1 of the trees had 2 tiny little fruits and the other tree had 1 but critters decided they needed them more than I did.....
@Heidi68 Same happened with my grapes this year.
@FrayedBear I had plenty of grapes & blackberries last year so I didn't mind sharing those... but my blueberries, strawberries & peaches - I would have liked a few of each
I watched a gardening show a couple weeks ago, with arborists discussing that new hybrids are often gained from cutting or isolating random variations from standard stock.
Nice. I found out, during my years of gardening, that the smaller the plant the faster it grows.
I planted a potted 5ft redbud and a three inch seedling at the same time. A year later the 5ft one was the same. The three inch seedling had grown four feet. The seedling has such a tiny root system that it probably didn't get shocked like the large one did.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
