Ooh, I love weekends in spring. I get to feel industrious. Just finished encircling my new raspberry patch in chicken wire to discourage the stray cats from digging it all up as their litter box. I left a long strip the length of the plot exposed. Hoping they will continue to use that instead of the nearby rose bed in brick here. I wasn't sure how distracting the chicken wire would look to us humans, but now that it is up, I think it isn't too bad. Since I stopped using any chemicals, it frees me up to mix berries and veggies in among the flowers.
