It's been raining in the San Francisco bay area, and even more so in Southern California. My garden sure can use the rain. This winter has been very disappointing. I went out between showers yesterday and took some photos in the back garden. As you can see spring is trying hard to assert itself. But it has been pretty cool out by our standards.
Wow, your poor spring looks very like what we call a, very good high summer, here. LOL
It is all relative to climate and place, isn't it? My one trip to England the furthest north we got was Walsall where I met my longtime flickr pals Tony and Marie and their wonderful garden. All told we were there 17 days and saw 17 gardens along with scenic villages, museums and art galleries. Our over ambitious itinerary is retold in this flickr collection where you'll also find the photos I took at each garden: [tinyurl.com] But this youtube video shows and retells the story of Tony and Marie making their Four Season Garden:

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
