7 and 8 is one of my favourites. It looks original with great texture. Most day lilies including #7 and 8 came from (https://harbourbreezes.ca/). He is the go-to guy in Nova Scotia for day lilies and Japanese iris. I think he ships anywhere in North America but I'm not certain. His website is worth a look.

I used to love japanese Iris, but I had a problem in that they almost always had to be staked to keep the blooms from falling over.

@glennlab
You are right! Especially when it rains. Dahlias fall into the same category and I would install stakes as I planted them.

Lots of gorgeous Daylilies at that link as well as Japanese Iris. I bought most of my house plants from catalogues last year. A lot of local nursuries don't have the variety names of what they sell and I have become interested in having that info recently.

@RussRAB
When my ex and I starting gardening she recorded any new plants in a journal. It was valuable information for the following year.

Love that orange highlight emerging from purple in the unknown one as well as in Advant-gard.

Wow, I think the "unknowns" are best, especially 7/8!

I have only 1 problem with Daylilies - they only last a day. But then no flower stays around forever as I would like.

@RussRAB
That's OK. There will be fresh ones tomorrow but you should pick all the blooms before you go to bed that way they don't die over other buds preventing them from opening.

All very pretty.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
