Would be gardeners should never travel in Spring. My garden may never recover from my Hungarian trip. Please tell me it is not true that every weed that survives means you have another 7 years to pull that weed.

A university ( I don't remember which one) has been doing a weed study in a closed enviroment . They cover all but one four foot wide section which is changed every year. They are still getting sprouts 80 plus years into the trial. So you will never get rid of all of the weeds, the best you can hope for is control. If you get them before they can go to seed it helps for next year, but your neighbors and the birds are more than willing to spread a little joy.
