Had to do a little work on the berries this morning, i should have fertilized them last fall. Just gave them some sulfur and a light sprinkling of 10-10-10. Needed to lower the ph abit. And gave them a foliar feeding also. The rains lately been above 7.0 up to 7.8 at times. I look up info but they all are about acid rain and so i have a question at the oregon agriculture extension office and waiting on reply. I been monitoring the rain water here as it mirrors the water i get from the Grand Ronde Tribe Reservation from their source spring that goes up and down with the rains. Something seems afoot though...as the tribe told me it is the rains doing it so i been montoring it.
As soon as the ph is at 7.1 and up plant roots stop taking in nutrients and start yellowing badly especially were the newest growth coming out of the leaf bud.
Do you think that new batteries in my meter would make a difference. yup and this meter seems to eat these 2032's....or i could have had an aweful bad batch of batteries in the last package LOL..
I haven't checked the rain ph for a month and now it is down to 5.0, last i checked it was 6.8. and in the winter it seemed higher but could been a meter problem. d

Does anyone here monitor ph of rain at home?
Finding a decent meter has littered the past 4 years with several.
