A quick question... Is it possible to grow lavender indoors as a house plant? Has anyone done it?
I tried before but without success.
I have one indoors, needs a lot of sun light and I added a grow light too.
Thank you
Coming,as you do, from Newcastle, I think you'd need a UV lamp to grow lavender indoors. It would also need to be watered less than most indoor plants. You could experiment by having the UV on at night time and putting the lavender on display during the day. Otherwise you could grow the pot of lavender outside and put it on display inside on special occasions. Spanish lavender (a smaller variety than English) is very tough, but it needs warmth and lots of light.
Thank you. I'm guessing that would probably work but it sounds like a lot of work.
@Ellatynemouth Well, you want to do something that's a tad unusual. Why do you want to grow lavender indoors, if you don't mind me asking?
It will grow indoors as long as it gets enough sunlight and you don't over water it. It likes a hot environment as well
I know if you overwater herbs, they die fast. Its happened to me more than once.
Thank you
As much sun as possible. Humidity but not too much water. Better dry than wet. Keep it snipped. Very unless in a controlled greenhouse environ.
Thank you.
I have killed my baby lavender (indoors and out) there years in a row.
So that's a 'no' then... It's a shame. I love lavender, but it seems to be an outdoor plant.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
