I got lil peaches! First time peach tree owner. It's 2 ft tall, in a whiskey barrel. It's got 18 peaches, which seems like unreasonable expectations. Should I thin them, or go for it?

I had a peach tree and if I didn't thin as many as I could, I'd be bombed with thousands of small peaches all at once, A huge mess, and lots of pie and jam. It's still very small but I suggest thinning you may get bigger peaches 😀.

I was going to say not to thin them, rather you should ' cling' to them. But, after thinking about how bad my jokes are ... I'll be quiet?

@CrazyQuilter Well now there's a legit reason to have it! I love a good joke. I just can't come up with one.

My young peach tree I removed all but two peaches so it would grow more this year. I suggest doing the same. I picked the first one today.

don't thin out; the tree will take care of it, if necessary. pruning after harvest 🙂

Go for it. You might have to stake the tree later to give it extra support. Good luck with your first harvest.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
