Love Timothy's comment.
Now, that is a perfect example of manipulation. If that is the case, that food processor should be fined. That is NOT reality for how the meat processing goes. But I am sure most of us know that.
As an Animal Science professional, that studied and worked on food processing for years, seeing propaganda like that bothers me.
I'm a flexitarian, so a photo like this isn't going to change my eating habits.. Btw, Iove pepperoni! and pork shoulder ☺
I am saddened by the photo, and I'm glad to be a vegetarian.
Timothy's comment, though, is hilarious.
The real issue as I see it is the same one I have with religions of any type.... In this case it is a vegetarian pushing their personal beliefs and life style on others... Timmy just drove home that nail with a 16 pound sledge is all....
@Lizard_of_Ahaz I do not force my vegetarian lifestyle on anyone else. I can sit at the same table with meat-eaters, while I eat a salad.
animal suffering is never funny.
@Cheeky Then be mad at miss "banmeat" not at Timmy she posted it....
@Lizard_of_Ahaz But Banmeat posted the photo for a good purpose. She wants meat-eaters to acknowledge that THEY are responsible for the torture and slaughter of their fellow animals.
@BestWithoutGods Factory farms which are subsidized by the government and lax regulations are the cause... Trump just allowed them to speed the slaughter house production lines which were already moving too fast causing needless suffering. But if you think the US is bad try Israel's meat packing industry as they still use methods best described as torture for religious reasons to keep the food "kosher..." Anything marked with that label I avoid...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz If nobody bought animal meat, there would be no market for it, and animal farms would cease to exist. So, it is not the government, but meat-eaters who are responsible for the existence of animal farms and slaughter houses.
@BestWithoutGods I am looking forward to progress in cloning.... Think of it meat without need for slaughter. The meat would also be healthier because of the lower fat content. Animals would be needed for donor cells only and by-products like milk or cheese but slaughter houses would be needless waste.
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Good idea, but as for me, I shall remain vegetarian.
Even worse menstruating without a tampon.
Or STD discharge!
@FrayedBear Amusingly most people didn't read down that far it seems....
@Lizard_of_Ahaz that, most do not comprehend/experienced life or my posts are sequestered to most either by their small mindedness or the algorithms used.
@FrayedBear I was referring to the meme.... Seems most people would rather look at the pictures than read a book... Or even just a meme...
