My cat of 17 years would come and sit with me if I was sad or sick. She saved my life and my home. I plan to have her ashes mixed with mine when I die. My two sister cats that I have now cannot stand to not be with me so follow me from room to room.
I believe the Egyptians saw all the beauty and superpowers cats have so thought they were gods. Cats can see in the dark, hear the slightest sounds and jump many times their height from dead stop. They kept pests from the home and protected the food stores. For that, and the unconditional affection they give, I worship them too.
