Well this is an example of why I never got half way through the first book. I was so disappointed. I thought a bit of erotica might aleviate my cynicism. However the writing was so poor that I found myself laughing out loud at the parts that were supposed to be arousing, as the above example shows. I recall enjoying Anais Nin about 20 years ago
