That reminds me of the story of the businessman who was refused a ride by a taxi driver because he'd forgotten to get cash, and didn't have $20, and the taxi driver didn't want to trust him to mail it to him.
The businessman had to hitchhike home, but on the return trip, he saw the same cab driver in line at the airport curb, waiting for customers.
So, the businessman went up to each cabbie waiting in line and asked them to swap a ride for a BJ. They all refused indignantly.
Then he went to the cabbie who'd refused him a ride before, showed him $20, and told him the address where he wanted to go.
But as his cab slowly moved past the row of waiting cabs to leave, the businessman gave each of the waiting cab drivers a big grin and flashed a "thumbs up" sign as they passed.
