Gimme that 20, I'm on my way to the dog store.

I prefer cats they are easier to clean up after

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Cats instantly know what a litter box is. What gets them in trouble is confusing that with a freshly planted garden at the neighbors.

@WonderWartHog99 Mine are indoor only.... What gets a dor in trouble is mistaking the litter box for a snak tray...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz I've always wondered what is in the cat's food that so attracts dogs to their feces. Say what you will about felines, they will kill their own young, not sure if they eat them or not. I've never looked into a cat's eyes and felt good about it.

@SiouxcitySue Cats in the wild cull their young who are sick to keep from infecting the stronger ones in the litter. Keep in mind they live under harsh conditions and this is no different from early humans... As for what attracts dogs.... A) cats are carnivores while dogs are slightly omnivorous, B) dogs often roll in fecal matter to cover their own scent for hunting, C) dogs aren't the brightest crayons in the box and just appears so to humans who like animals who do stupid pet tricks,
Being freaked out by a cat's eyes is a matter of prejudice they are designed to be far sighted so they sit back at least 4 feet wile watching you or looking into your own eyes. Their eyes are also designed for better night vision than ours are.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz The killer cats I'm familiar with lived across the alley from me in Billings. Came over one night and killed a litter of 4 3-day-old kittens and left the mother bleeding out on my porch. As I was 6-years old at the time it made a deep impression on me and my prejudices were imprinted into my soul. I may pet a cat or allow one in my lap but I will never like one.

@SiouxcitySue Blame the humans who abandoned those cats not the cats. Feral cats will kill others not of their social group to protect their turf because it has limited resources to support a limited number of ferals. This is no different from humans of the past or today...
