Everybody knows that period. But too many ignore it because they are afraid of having their ideas of having their protection taken away from them (in other words there are simply too many cowards among us).

Some 20 years ago more and more people were buying large SUV's. A favorite pair on NPR (car talk) said at this rate there would be no more small sporty cars because everyone was afraid of getting hit by a big monster vehicle. Then the VW retro car came out and then the Mini. The big problem was that cities mandated smaller parking spaces, especially in the cities in order to accommodate the increasing masses. People looked for small, fuel efficient, city cars that they could park by their houses and other places. I have and have always had a small car. It is easier to maneuver, park and get great mileage. It is the responsible way not the self-serving, screw the other guy way. With guns we are loosing the us mentality and going for the me and mine.

Everybody knows that except trump and his nra. Everybody else is in the same page.

The lunatics are running the asylum. No intelligent person can believe this is an answer. They really don't get it, do they?

These kids with guns don't fucking care! They want to be shot.

And no teacher with a conscious is going to shoot to kill, especially if they know the shooter. The fact that the NRA is backing this, and Trump is even considering, is ludicrous.

You are right, teachers with guns are just going to get people on both sides of the room shot. Nobody knows how they will act with someone shooting at them until it happens, then It's to late.

Yup. I might be ok with non-lethal. (as a band aid measure).
Rubber bullets, tasers, or mace.
And absolutely they could be shot!

But I don't think teachers signed up to be armed? And I think we need way better options,
