No beer, but guns. I'm glad I grew up in Bavaria. It was the opposite there. My friends and me, all of us 12 years old, could get these litre mugs of "Starkbier" ( high alcohol) in Kloster Andechs as long as we mumbled "it's for our dad who sits over there" random hand wave. Then we drank it quickly, and bumbled home, not on the pass with the sign: "Don't leave the pass! 13 death so far." ( same sign for decades, it's still there I believe) well, we went straight up and down the steep gully laughing our heads off, pissed, and pissing ourselves with hilarity. By the time we got home, we are almost sober. Parents never knew.
