What natural right of authority does anyone have to tell someone else what to do, own, use... etc.?

Well you see not everyone is responsible.... or stable... And when your right to have something infringes on my right to continue living?
Than it becomes a problem.

I'm pro Reasonable Gun Control. And I'm for gun training.

I've seen some who didn't know what end of a gun they were holding. They really shouldn't own a gun until they understand some basics. Again infringing on my right to continue living.

You raise a good point. "Not everyone is responsible or stable". Maybe those characteristics should be proven before a gun is permitted.

The answer is simple, as long as you are not bothering or planning to harm someone, no one has any damn authority to tell you what you can and cannot own. Those with the "regulation complex" should worry more about their own personal affairs. If I won't bow down to a mystical sky being, I sure as hell aren't going to bow to the wishes of fellow human beings...

Extremely dangerous things, stuff that takes considerable training to be handled safely. Public safety mostly.

Face the truth.

Dozens are being injured from guns every day in America. 20+ die, at least half of those 20 from gun suicides. It's THE major smear on the goodness of America...

...and Trump never even mentioned it in the SOTU.

If we don't create an "authority" to regulate guns better...we're going to suffer greatly. Why don't you see that? Are you that blinded by the outmoded 2nd amendment "right to bear arms" that you think everyone should be armed as much as possible? Don't you see the profit motive behind this drive to resist controlling our gun use?

I think actually the 2nd is not outmoded but its interpretation is. The right to bear arms is given to "well regulated militias" and not individuals.

@dare2dream Agree; what does that even mean a "well regulated militia"..does that imply that anyone who wants to justify owning guns must be active in a "well regulated militia"? The whole 2nd amendment needs to be re-written.

I think it is the same right society claims that individuals should not possess weapons of mass destruction.

Isn't that how Slavery and Kings and Emperors started? That it was perhaps the wishes of Natural Right for trump to be unpresident also? What do you know of Un-Natural Right of Authority? Don't tell me... you were Born a republiKKKan? Right? Your Natural Right? ...perhaps? ...yes?

It is said another's right end where my nose begins. When one's supposed rights infringe on others (life and/or safety) it is time to regulate those rights.

You mean things like passing laws relating to background checks when purchasing firearms or limit the size of clip your weapon can accept? Your question is rather vague.
