The whole "Was there a real Jesus?" is actually an interesting question, mostly because there is so little evidence that it makes the debate fairly simple. People do get worked up over it though. The neat thing is we live in a Golden Age of archeology, and there's every chance more contemporary evidence will be unearthed. and new technology will re-examine old evidence, like this case.

Assuming that this particular piece of marble , was indeed from the Kos quarry , that does not mean that it was only used in that area . There does seem to be a good deal of shipping going on and things that would travel well by ships , would include those things that did not surrcom to mold , dry rot , etc. but would arrive in the same condition as when it left port .

Possibly, but since it matches an actual known historical event on Kos quite nicely, it makes it that much harder to claim it was referring to the Jesus resurrection myth.
