It has been raining here IN AZ today pretty much constantly since a thunderstorm began at 4 AM. We are past the end of a normal monsoon cycle and it is unusually cool; none of which I would mind except the next few days after the rain subsides, (and some people cope with flooded areas lingering in washes), the temps will rise. This means another cycle of mosquitoes! UGH. Feels like Nature is angry at us. We need the water yet the bugs are horrid.

How have the mosquitoes been wherever you are living?

Do B vitamins, thiamine, work where you are? No currently in the uk it’s too cold for them. I only got one bite all summer.

We don't get a lot in this part of the UK, but the small ones we call midges, have been bad this year.

@LetzGetReal Yes, though it is more likely that it is due to higher rainfall and milder winters, since they breed mostly in standing water which does not freeze solid. On the other hand lower numbers of things which feed on them such as dragonflies may not help.

@LetzGetReal It can also be what you have eaten of course, some people say that spicy food, savoury herbs like thyme and especially the smell of garlic on your skin wards them off. Can drive the opposite sex to a safe distance as well, so two benefits.
