Loners

I think there are a lot of loners out there. Everyone feels different. But are you isolated in some way.

I wonder what percentage of people are loners? Maybe one out of 20? One out of ten? What do you think?

Just to introduce myself -- I've been a loner in recent years, largely because I suffer from depression. I do get out some, but my social life is very limited, and spend a lot of time cooped up in my apartment. Two of my favorite activities are ...

I do have a very modest social life, but I feel like I'm only superficially connected with the rest of the world most of the time. I also spend a great deal of time alone in my apartment. Am I still qualified to be a loner?

Loners are often people who think deeply about life. What quality do you most admire in other people, and what do you mostly seek from others. The quality that I aspire to give, is compassion, and what I like to receive is kindness.

I am a loner, an introvert and eccentric. I have trouble fitting in. Maybe I have plenty of company and just don't know it yet.

It sounds like many members here are introverts. There's a group for that.

Sometimes I describe myself as a loner and sometimes I describe myself as an introvert. I think they can be one and the same. I prefer to be in smaller groups or to be by myself.

I don't mind being around other people, if i have nothing else I would want to do. I don't mind being around people when I have freedom to leave if I want. I don't mind being alone doing things that doesn't require other people to be involved....

I am alone in this world. Other than raising a child, I suppose I always was. I know there are others in a worse position than I and that worries me. I see couples and families out and about, laughing and kidding around with each other and I enjoy...

No posts in half a year? What's going on, guys? How's the quarantine/lockdown/re-introduction to society going? It feels even stranger interacting with people after so long in isolation.

Solitude does not mean loneliness. I think that the concept of “loner” brings up the idea of lonely. Most loners as with myself like it that way. Not that I can’t get lonely at times but for the most part I’m happy with my own company and ...
