I was brought up as a congregationalist. Got the hell out of it when I was about 17 years old, after several years of not having questions answered. That was a long time ago, and I grow more convinced there is no god with every year.

I must be one. Raised Church of England, gave it up just before 14th birthday. My parents weren't happy about it, as they had made a promise to nothing when I got Christened.
We only eve went to church for weddings and funerals. God never answered my prayers for a better world free of war, hunger, disease and wot not.
Started have to doubts before I was ten.

I didn't grow up in a particularly religious family so I've been an agnostic or atheist most of my life.

But I did go through a religious phase when I when I was in 6th form. Other teenagers get into drink or drugs. I got into Christianity. It was a pretty crazy born-again church: house meetings, speaking in tongues. I remember getting really upset because I was convinced that the rest of my family were going to hell. Scary stuff.

I used confirmation for christianity as a test of god. He failed.

funny that, he always does, does he not, perhaps that's why old JC said Luke 4:12 “You shall not put the LORD your God to the test" (Code for, Dad's an unreliable old fart!)

@LenHazell53 Thanks. I knew that quote was somewhere.

Posted by webspider555I’m beginning to wonder whether our government is just incompetent or are all these things happening just to get us in a rage arguing amongst ourselves.
