Happy birthday, Bono!
Beautiful Day
My hero! Brian Jones. Not an album cove used in UK.
I love that you honour Bono’s birthday not with something by him or U2…but with this one from The Stones!
I thought it only fair to post Beautiful Day as you mentioned it in your post…..and especially as U2 admit that they took inspiration from a-ha’s The Sun Always Shines On TV…when they borrowed the words ….”Touch Me!”
Oh, that is because I am an idiot and do not check on what I am posting. But you can all sing the sings in your head and snigger about the old woman from New York.
@Spinliesel I actually thought you did it deliberately because I know how much you love The Stones!
@Marionville Me too once.
@rogerbenham How can your tastes have changed so much Roger?
@Marionville I spent '64 until '69 loving R&B. '66 until '75 loving Pink Floyd. But in '69 I started going to lots of concerts in London and discovered Baroque, David Munrow, J.E. Gardiner, RAH, QEH, and I immersed myself into non rock music. Gradually I lost interest in it and have seemingly continued losing interest. I like the rock music from the times I listened to it.
