This afternoon I’m going to an open air concert at The Hill Of The O’Neill in Dungannon, Co.Tyrone….which is about ten or twelve miles from my home. It’s a heritage site and concert venue which has been built beside the ruined castle which was the stronghold and ancestral home of the Chieftain of the ancient Irish clan O’Neill. I’m pleased to say the morning is bright and sunny, the temperature pleasantly warm at present…boding well for sitting under an open sided canopy on the top of a hill later! It’s a visit from our internationally acclaimed Ulster Orchestra…which when at home, very rarely performs locally outside of its Belfast base…so we are honoured.. I believe it’s dance and film music we’re being treated to today…if it’s anything like this 2019 performance we really will be in for a treat….

No singers today…but the orchestra was brill!
