I’ve just posted this in the Music Fans Group by mistake…it’s meant for here, so I’ll repeat it again!
Granada is a very grand and ancient city in Spain, it’s architecture reflects its history of 800 years of Moorish occupation (8th to 15th centuries), which is evident even today in the 21st century. This fittingly grand-sounding song in praise of “Granada” is however relatively recent at only 90 years old. It was written in 1932 by Mexican composer Agustin Lara and is famous throughout the world having been sung by numerous well known artists. I have chosen Spanish tenor Placido Domingo’s live version ….
