Scots the world over will be raising a glass and drinking a dram or two of Scotch whisky today…because it’s St Andrew’s Day. Our national patron saint’s day, day for the saltires to be raised and flown high and the bagpipes to be skirling! To mark the day I’m posting this bagpipe tune - Highland Cathedral - a live performance led by the Band of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards with massed pipes & drums, orchestra & chorus in Rotterdam in 2016.

The best!
Not a tune that I know. To me it was odd seeing so many other instruments.
St Andrew was the patron saint of my school.
