On this day in 1988 Norwegian band a-ha released their third studio album Stay On These Roads, the title track and a couple of other tracks became hits for the band, and it also included a version of 007 theme for1987 Bond movie The Living Daylights…a live version of which I’ve just posted in Classic Rock group. My favourite track is a song they didn’t release as a single and which they only rarely ever performed live. It’s called - Out Of Blue Comes Green - and it was chosen by fans of the band in a poll as the song they’d most like to hear live, so for that reason lead vocalist Morten Harket included it on his solo world concert tour in 2012. I’m posting that live version as well as this the original track….

It’s a great song written by Pal…and only Morten has a powerful enough voice and range to sing it. The lyrics are so beautiful recognising the debt we owe to our parents and how we sometimes forget to repay their love. Powerful message, powerfully and emotionally intelligent writing and very powerfully delivered.
@Marionville Pal is a great song writer. Actually, all of the band members are great at song writing. I love that their lyrics come from the heart and more often than not from personal experience.
