2019 Acknowledging Puerto Rican Salsa in New York, a Sextet Setup... live in a Jazz Setting... the songs are from my High School days from the 60's and 70's as a matter of fact some of the original was done with most of the Sextet being Alumni of my High School. The Imperial Sextet of Old became the Back Up band of the great Sonero Cheo Feliciano. Mr Feliciano early work was with Joe Cuba Sextet... Cheo Feliciano Strangely lost in a week were 3 Famous of the Latin World left us... I wrote a song about them leaving... I remember also lost was Nobel Prize Writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Jose Cheo Feliciano and I think the third was Facundo Cabral from Argentina maybe the most influent folk singer to attract me and a folk singer I saw in my 20's in Puerto rico and in my 50's at DC. of course along with american great Jim Webb. From Salsa my influence was from Tite Curet Alonzo... his son Eddie was my friend on my youth and the other great is still Ruben Blades... Panamanian actor in in Hollywood. Among American Songwriters... I always admired Mr Jim Webb.
This is a whole live set...
