We’re visiting Wales with our post today and a young Welsh singer called Eve Goodman singing Angor: Swn Y Mor or Angor: Song Of The Sea. It’s the story of a young girl who has lived in the mountains all her life but she is being drawn to the shoreline by the call of the sea. I think it’s beautiful.

There is probably a translation somewhere I didn’t look.
What a beautifully pure voice she has! I love Song of the Sea, but had never actually seen her, so the video was interesting for that, too.

@Marionville Pity. I heard them some 25 years ago and loved it. They were a Welsh version of the original Watersons.
@rogerbenham I’ll see if I can find some of their music and post it some time.
@Marionville Were there only 3 of them? I never saw them. Max Fergusson played them on CBC. He played a lot of folk music. It is no longer available on CBC. The young are mostly ignorant.
