No. Just no. This book is a history of human thought. In fact, the human thought of the Western world.
The thing about the Bible is that we have the development of our culture in just one book. This book contains the 'grammar' of our intellectual discourse to this very day. That makes it essential reading. I don't undervalue the other books from the Axial Age and I have a huge appreciation for Shakespeare, Milton etc. all the way up to Tolstoy, Dostoevsky and our great modern writers.
