Anyone else use All Trails? Probably has been discussed... sorry I'm all late lol. But it's a great app if you haven't gotten it yet.

I use backcountry navigator. Downloading the map takes a bit of time, but I have my little piece of the country all loaded and ready when needed. I usually mark my starting point, put it in airplane mode and then tuck the phone away. When it is time to go home, or about the time I am getting worried that I don't seem to know where home is, I pull up the phone, it launches homes in on me and I can figure out how to get back to that original marker. I do not leave continual tracking on as it chews up battery. The phone can last several days using in sparingly in this way. I also occasionally throw in a marker to let me know where I was. I do a bit of kayaking in the swamp so it is nice to know the furthest points. I should mention it also has creeks marked giving one some hope of wandering successfully through the swamp.

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
