Why is it that Secretary of State Antony Blinken seemed at sea when asked why Russia would invade Ukraine? Yesterday, on Morning Joe, Blinken was gently asked: “What would be the upside for Putin by invading Ukraine?” Strangely, it seemed clear that Blinken had not thought that one through. After a minute of circumlocution, he gave up and said we should “ask Putin”.

For those new/ish to the group. Ray McGovern is also a member of the VIPS (Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity) at Consortium News. Who recently (December 8, 2021) combined their knowledge and gathered intel with a past article of Robert Parry from (Sept. 2, 2014) which is the primary lead leading into the VIPS comments {A Mysterious ‘Invasion’} The VIPS are a group of formal US Intelligence agents, X military members, government and private data specialist experts, etc.

Parry's article provides a look into the Ukraine issue from the beginning in 2014 using various links to develop his discovery on how he exposes it as a collaborate agenda of creating a false narrative against Russia. Throughout these articles is a vast wealth within links towards discovery of the truth behind the deceptions our government and the ruling classed owned MSCM deliver to us. The answer to all this lays in the last paragraph at the bottom I put in bold.

ROBERT PARRY: Who’s Telling the ‘Big Lie’ on Ukraine?

The U.S. group think still driving the Ukraine crisis began at least eight years ago, as detailed in this article by Robert Parry on Sept. 2, 2014.

Exclusive: Official Washington draws the Ukraine crisis in black-and-white colors with Putin the bad guy and the U.S.-backed leaders in Kiev the good guys. But the reality is much more nuanced, with Americans consistently misled on key facts, wrote Robert Parry.

Yet the truth is that the U.S. mainstream news media’s distortion of the Ukraine crisis is something that a real totalitarian could only dream about. Virtually absent from major U.S. news outlets across the political spectrum has been any significant effort to tell the other side of the story or to point out the many times when the West’s “fair and factual version of events” has been false or deceptive, starting with the issue of who started this crisis.

In another example, the Post and other mainstream U.S. outlets have ridiculed the idea that neo-Nazis played any significant role in the putsch that ousted Yanukovych on Feb. 22 or in the Kiev regime’s brutal offensive against the ethnic Russians of eastern Ukraine.

I'll also add/remind how our own domestic various sects of Nazi and nationalist supporters traveled to Ukraine to train with their counterparts there that were injected into the national guard and military there. Then bringing back home with them, along with recruitment ideology.

Why are Nazi and Confederate flags on display in Kiev?

Racists from across Europe have traveled to Kiev. Wearing these symbols on their helmets and jackets, these thugs roamed Kiev and defaced the homes of Jews. They destroyed memorials to those who fought the Nazi invasion and occupation of the Ukraine in World War II. Offices of the Communist Party of the Ukraine were ransacked and destroyed, revolutionary books publicly burned in bonfires. Twenty-five statues of Lenin have been destroyed, requiring heavy equipment. (tinyurl.com/lfs734u) Amidst this offense of fascist vandalism, progressive people have mobilized to protect progressive centers, monuments and government buildings.

Victoria Nuland, the U.S. assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs, publicly bragged that Washington has committed more than $5 billion to these “democratic forces” in the Ukraine. (tinyurl.com/q577smd)

Nuland, Sen. John McCain and other U.S. and German politicians have publicly embraced known fascist thugs. Open U.S. support for the Ukrainian Fatherland Party, the Svoboda party and Right Sector is hardly a mistake. It is sign of how the U.S. and European Union plan to impose austerity, cutbacks and rule by Western banks.
