Ok, maybe it's just me. But I feel a good opportunity was passed up for this coming weekend during this rally coming. NPR had the guy for the Unite the Right heading this rally on today. I have to say, he made a lot of good points and sounded quite round about the issues he spoke on. Even against the obvious interviewers attempts to draw him into confrontational ways. He did a good job of calling her out with some factual points of trying to stir shit and turning what she said back onto her. Obvious fake talking points from the norms. But this guy invited a director of some sorts from Black Lives Matter to join him at the rally to hash out, a Summit type deal? He refused. They're going to head a counter protest instead. Now the way I see it, you have a right wing guy, anyone who's been here long enough knows I don't support either party, says he doesn't float the racist ways, attempting to work with BLM in front of the other groups we all know are showing up, and BLM refuses. That to me is an invitation for the other groups to cause what is probably going to be another quagmire event. When you could have stood together in front of the fascist and antifascist violent groups in even the smallest show of solidarity!?! What am I missing?
