Group note, fair warning, of sorts. As in the PINED post on top of the group post I have explained my feelings on the one site Common Dreams as being wavering at times towards the establishment line of perception management. Or I should say some of the writers. Also found in the group hash tags. However, as the latest Caitlin Johnstone article rightly observes, drooling out of both sides of the mouth in political speech is like combating 2 opinions at the same time where one often leads to overriding the other, often supporting a negative course of action. I've been struggling with taking it, the site, off recognition. Truthout has also been seemingly moving the same direction since the Venezuela issues have hit a high point. As in a quote from Caitlins article,

" Life pro tip: If you find yourself cheering for the same "people's uprising" in a foreign nation that the US State Department says you should cheer for, it's because you've been propagandized. Please revise your media consumption habits and critical thinking skills accordingly."

I strongly agree with and have voiced much the same throughout the months here.

I've decided to remove CD and will do so immediately. If you read the article and comments in the site. You will see one of the things I use to love about this site. The members do call bullshit when bullshit is rolling down the hill. But my use of CD lately has been more to combat its writers than spread good journalism. While what good writers they have left I can find on their own sites and in better news sources. CD has outlived its purpose and gone establishment for the most part as The Guardian. Truthout may very well soon be taken off recognition also.

I've recently been using a site called Sludge. They cover more of the issues on money in politics. I got them from a new group which has been building a group news site that has been growing quite well I discovered last night. I discovered it a few months ago in which they only had 6 news sites at the time. Its called Civil.

Last night was the first time I'd been at the site in quite some time and see they have developed a much larger group base. I'll be switching to some of these sites in an attempt to bring a new look and new journalist into the fold. Please help me to keep it real! If you see or know anything questionable that comes from these new sources, speak out. Speak out? I need substantial material or experience to compare with. Which I'll also be doing with my most trusted sites, comparing that is.
