Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I almost never attended any Jewish ceremonies.....but my mother came from a strict Jewish family; and she was "ostracized" by her parents for years before they finally "befriended us.
So I have lots of reasons to support the Israeli struggle.
But it's clearly gotten out of hand.
I'm now embarrassed to admit my Jewish heritage. I'm so not proud of the way Israel is behaving.

Don't be ashamed of your Jewish heritage. Be mad that it's been stolen by Zionist! You'll find some American's in this group in the same boat as yourself as we dissent from what our government does around the globe. I'm not ashamed to be American, I'm very concerned what is done in our name to others around the world for the benefit of a failing system and the ruling class. And the Israeli government is part of that, as many other governments. The working class of the world need to unite against all these governments and say enough. There are many Jewish in the US, especially in New York, who protest against the Jewish state for what it does. So you're not alone within your feelings.
@William_Mary Thanks...and I guess I'm not so much "ashamed" as "not proud" nor impressed with what Israel has become. Call them Zionists. ..call them people taking advantage of U.S. ...I'm just not impressed and a bit angry that they've become so militarized, so arrogant, so righteous...at our expense.

...and if you do the math; multiply 365 times the number of years since WW II (almost 75 in 2020) you'll see we give Israel over $5 million a day to keep their 300+ nukes on subs all around the Middle East. Google "Israel Nuclear weapons" to check me on that.
