Study Finds Bots and MAGA Supporters Pushing #IraniansDetestSoleimani Hashtag
A social media disinformation expert studied 60,000 tweets from nearly 10,000 accounts using the hashtag #IraniansDetestSoleimani and found that the most common phrases in those users’ biographies were “Make America Great Again” and “Trump.”
First off. It's been a long hours tough week for me, I'm behind on comments and will get to them today or tomorrow. I also have to work a couple of hours today. SO, hold that thought.
A month ago most people in the westernized society had never heard or had a clue of who Qasem Soleimani was. You were not suppose to know of him unless, until, it would accomplish a certain agenda. Knowing the truths of his existence in the grand scheme of the delusional world reality could not be tolerated. While I have been following and posting on the wars in Iraq and Syria all these years, I've probably read his name a number of times myself, but I myself have never even made it a point to imprint the name into my brain.

The MAGA crowd (I cannot believe that there are any serious thinkers amongst them; rather that they are a mass of semi literate, racist, homophobic people) will chant what they want to chant. Their voice can be very loud.
It put me off reading Facebook seeing comments that people make. So ignorant. So biased. So vindictive. So filled with hate.
I once heard a statistic on how many people read a book, just one book, after leaving school and even after leaving university. It was a shattering result.
Ignorance is for ever driving us towards destruction or collapse.

@jorj Well what you say may be true, may not be. I don't know. I know that both of your huge main parties are what I'd call right wing. I think at least 90% of people are racist I wonder why people who never read books should be allowed to vote. Most of all my own experience in politics is that successful politicians say what people want to hear but do what their party tells them and their party is influenced by big money.
@jorj No I don't want to deny rights but I just would love to find a way of establishing that a voter has a real appreciation of the differences between the candidates/parties rather than their lack of understanding and being too attentive to propaganda. We are on very dangerous ground right now with Trump holding rallies so like the Nazi pre-war rallies. People happily soak up Fox News lies as facts. That is tragic.
I also realise that some voracious readers read harlequin romances and little else.
@jorj Well I've watched some parts of his rallies. There is a similarity. He does seem to want hate and Hitler rallies were all about making Germany great again. Have you ever watched Leni Riefenstal's movies?
