Why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is in the same party as Joe Biden

She herself is not the head of a mass movement that the Democratic Party is working to co-opt. She is rather the product of maneuvers by the DSA, operating inside the Democratic Party, to preempt the popular support for socialism that was revealed in 2016 in the 13 million votes for Bernie Sanders in the Democratic presidential primaries.}
All one has to do to understand this is to look at her watered down green deal. Over creating jobs within the Green Party in various ways, hers invites corporations to control the effectiveness. Which will probably never be funded even if passed in the congress and senate to reach anywhere near the full effect needed for the crisis beating down on us today.

He ran as the supposed opponent of the “billionaire class” and champion of a “political revolution,” which turned out to be a campaign to hustle votes for Hillary Clinton, the candidate of Wall Street and the political establishment.}
Obviously there still is no sense of urgency or awareness on part of voters today understand the illusion they live in. Having totally missed the blatant destruction of democracy in 2016 by both parties, they're going to continue as is in 2020. I hope Sanders actually pulls this off so that he'll then show himself to be the con artist he is. Obama take 2.
It goes on to list my reasoning of AOC's facade of being a progressive. And Sanders to a degree. Sanders wrote out his own list throughout 2016 up to today. All one really needs to do to understand it is to carefully examine. His actions are nothing to be compared to his claim of being a socialist of any real sense for the working class.
Today I read the republicans don't have enough votes to stop more witnesses. For 2 days the republicans again made arguments adding more facts to the Ukrainegate scandal causing them to look like the adults on the playground. However, just enough facts to do so, not the entire truth. However this process ends now it has only accomplished one thing. It set a new president towards impeachment being an ordinary means of conditioning strife in DC. Under the present facade every president from the past could have been impeached, and future presidents can be impeached with no evidence. Our representatives are now using more time on campaigning and useless hearings while ignoring real issues. All the while they keep committing real crimes and unethical practices worldwide from within the shadows.

That is a very strong article and I fear it is absolutely correct. from my outsider view I have never understood why there is no working class party in the USA. Actually there isn't in Canada either though the ever right moving NDP claims that aspect. In the UK the Labour party has also consistently moved to the right.
AOC runs as a Democrat. How else can she run? There is no working class party. The idea that caught my eye was the middle class all want to become upper class so appeal to them for their mass of votes and they want capitalism. But gradually the industrial restructuring is sending middle class down instead of up. When enough of them realise this it may be too late but if not there would be hope for a revolution or the formation of a real left wing alternative to the Democrats. I'm with Chris Hedges in that we need a revolution.

@rogerbenham that's where we have to do the work. It's imperative we use this alternative tool (the internet) to spread the word. With most of the younger generation and millennial's now favoring socialism, our interest is now to get them on the right path towards socialism's truest means. Right now there are to many that are trapped in the illusion of what the DSA (Democratic Socialist of America) are falsely detailing as a socialist movement. Their true intent is capturing and trapping them in the illusion of saving a failed democratic party using people like Sanders and AOC. Who's policies, as those of establishment democrats, will amount to no real change. Such as AOC's Green Deal, operating and relying on corporate interest towards a goal set well under the needs of the present needs to fight today's conditions. Not only is it to little to late, but corporations have no real interest in changing and will fight tooth and nail to drag out any real sense to change.
Where the Green Party's initiative is to quickly move from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources creating millions of jobs at the same time. AOC's initiative greatly dismisses this element. Both Sanders and AOC have shown their true nature with supporting much of the same policies as the establishment representatives of both parties. Glorifying war mongers, supporting false Venezuela, Russiagate and Ukrainegate narratives, omitting important facts and history on several issues to keep the establishment line and perception management alive. That would actually give people still reliant only on main stream media a new interest in seeking and finding the information they aren't being told of by that media.
When these politicians speak of a news source in which they operate from and develop an opinion from to form a comment, it's never an alternative news source! That's on purpose! It's sticking to the establishment agenda. It's always from a main stream media source.
Can you just imagine Sanders one day on the campaign trail telling his crowd of supporters that his 2016 election was rigged against him and spelling it out to them?
Shock waves across the nation would occur.
And by the way, it wasn't Russia who hacked the DNC, that information was leaked by Seth Rich a DNC staffer. I urge you all to go to the Consortium News site and read up on the VIPS analysis of data released from the investigation.
Are you getting any sense of what could happen here now? Memorandums of their findings were sent to Obama and Trump, main stream media knows of these findings, yet most voters and American's know nothing of it.
And when Clinton tells you all 17 intelligence agencies came to the same findings she's lying. When actually it was a chosen few hand picked agents from the FBI, CIA, and NSA with a predetermined agenda to cover up her and the DNC crimes and unethical practices.
If people like Sanders and AOC started speaking like this and revealing information like this the establishment and deep state would freeze with fright. Game over. But they ARE part of the game.
@William_Mary The trouble is that I think you are correct and that makes it all rather depressing.
@rogerbenham it's depressing that our movement is such a slow process to get across to the rest of our fellow American's. It's even more depressing that supporters of both establishment parties can't recognize that their chosen party are committing the same criminal acts and unethical practices as the other party does. In which the younger generations are seeing and attempting to change for their future wanting to introduce socialism into that future. While the majority of them feel they have the right to stagnate their movement although their time has been futile towards change as their lives are half over or further to ending. Beds are burning as we leave rent due for that generation to pay without thought to them. It's totally unfair!
@William_Mary And that is a lot of the reason that Chris Hedges is correct in that a major revolution is needed. But who leads? Who leads once change is achieved? And so we just end up with those greedy for power and self enrichment.
Too bad. We are not a species worth preserving. Too many faults. Very serious faults.
