YouTube personality Jimmy Dore promotes fascist Boogaloo Boy

The effort by YouTube personality and former comedian Jimmy Dore to promote the fascist Boogaloo Boys is a significant political episode that reveals the ignorant and reactionary character of middle class “left” politics in America. Dore, an ex-supporter of Bernie Sanders and the Green Party, is a more backward and vulgar representative of a broader social layer that is responding to Trump’s January 6 coup attempt by moving to the right.

On January 24, Dore invited SEP (Socialist Equality Party) member and World Socialist Web Site Labor Editor Jerry White onto his program to discuss the WSWS’s coverage of a strike of Hunts Point produce workers in New York City.

I'm not a big Dore fan. I personally put enough of my time in watch video commentary of my own choices to add another one. What I have seen he seems to be ok, even has Abby Martin on his show occasionally. In which when she is on them I get the same bad vibes about him anyways. Abby just isn't Abby on his show. My number one complaint about the whole lot of them is that within all their dissenting political awareness, none of them provide a direction towards an out from empire they speak against. Dore moving right? I know there's a few people here that view and post his work, what's your assessment? Could you be missing the signals? This would clearly be a major red flag to me.

When it comes to these groups you have to make critical assessments towards supporting and or putting trust in them. They're virtually like politicians. Like activist groups they always have a hidden pocket behind them somewhere that tends to control and or limit their agenda. Many start out as genuine causes, but there's often that thumb of suppression that comes along which injects large sums of money from behind a curtain you don't know of until some journalist exposes their tax data. Which many in the pubic miss. Eventually leading to an affiliation to an establishment party.

When these 2 aspects collide the cause is basically kicked to the curb and becomes an entrapment of deceit on the followers and or small time donors. Black Lives Matter is a better known prime example of this. The more infamous right wing fascist groups. Any of those who's members outside of the head structure are purposely being manipulated with false negative propaganda into a servitude to benefit social chaos to support an ideology and or monetary benefit. Legitimate causes become highly diminished as back door donors and political affiliations enrich and advise the top structure of leaders. Grass roots go from green to brown.

Quite frankly, when the mixture of these groups meet at protest, the violence that occurs is the very same types of abstract conditions that manufacture war. It provides no solutions, just another sense of social chaos for the establishment to build upon for further repression. Further diminishing genuine causes that are present.

{Dore concluded the interview by summing up his political strategy: “Social movements should always be in dialogue… We seem to agree on some of the big problems in our country, you and I.” He added: “The fight is top to bottom right now in America, it’s not left to right. Chris Hedges has said that on our show… It’s obvious that it’s not a left-right fight anymore.”

Whether he is aware of it or not, Dore’s statements calling for a “top-bottom” and not a “left-right” outlook are rooted in early 20th century fascist ideology. Basing themselves on the slogan “neither left nor right,” fascists called for the unity of the entire national “people” in direct opposition to the socialist struggle of the property-less working class (“the left&rdquo against the property-owning big capitalists (“the right&rdquo. Despite its faux-populist language, fascism was ultimately a political tool of the capitalist class to mobilize the enraged petty-bourgeoisie against the socialist workers’ movement.}
