A CIA Coup Set the Stage for the Conflict With Iran
(Most Iranians I met were resentful of the American government for the sanctions that have made their lives difficult, but they love the American people. My experience is that Iranians are better than Americans at distinguishing between governments and people. While Americans tend to see Iranians as their enemies (Trump's Muslim Ban plays into this narrative), Iranians tend to have a favorable view of Americans. This is especially true of younger Iranians, who are well-educated and have direct access to US culture through social media.)
I can't even begin to argue with that! If you paid any attention after 9/11 and didn't fall right into the hate propaganda, you might remember that the Iranian people practically shut down 3 major cities as nearly 3 million of them took to the streets in protest and mourning for us after that day. And I underscore US. Not the U.S. But US! And what do we do for them as our government plays game of thrones with them!?! We cheer on asswipes like John McCain when they sing bomb bomb bomb Iran. We have half a nation who ignorantly support another war hawk in Trump and cry out, turn it to glass. How fucking more hypocritical can we get!?!

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.It's true! The CIA overthrew Mossadegh. They installed the Shah. Then the 1979 revolution in which the Ayatollah Khomeini got power. Now it's another Ayatollah with a similar name I just can't recall.
But, yes it was us, the USA that set that ball rolling. The good 'ol CIA fucked up again. And we are still paying for their stupidity.
