I don't think Hedges has any intent for a violent revolution, as he is quite religious, a Presbyterian Minister. Very out spoken towards war and it's effects, especially on the population such as ours today. Within his book, War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning, he writes, " that war seduces entire societies, creating fictions that the public believes and relies on to continue to support conflicts. He also describes how those who experience war may find it exhilarating and addictive". [en.wikipedia.org]
