I checked with the admins, they said this was okay to post. My sister and I know a couple that are very active in animal rights, and of course vegan. They would like to start a vegan food truck, and have asked us to promote their GoFundMe page. There are no others around like this in the area, and I have personally done some research on the business as I am thinking of investing much more than my original contribution. Regardless of that, please support, and if you cannot support, please simply post this on your social media sites to help spread the word. It is only by getting delicious, healthy food to the meat-eaters that one can at least make them consider a different path. Even if they do not come fully around, if they would replace a few meals a week without the slaughter of the helpless, it would shift things in many areas. Here is the link: [gofundme.com]
There are other ways to move people. It's by appealing to them through science.
This includes long-term health, ethics, and the planet.
That is why the fastest growing percentage of the population are Israelis.
Tel Aviv is Vegan heaven.
I live in a University town, where we have great biology, nutrition, the leading
Agriculture Science, food science, medical school, and every restaurant in town has healthy Vegan options. We have organic gardens in many
front yards, and a great farmers market with local mostly organic
or transition local, in season plants from all colors of the rainbow.
Similarly, Neil Barnard has done more to promote Vegan diets by
doing Gold Standard, replicated clinical studies published in the top
Peer-Reviewed Scholarly Journals in the world.
In fact, Medicare, Railroad Retirement, and Kaiser Permanente will pay for training' in
his diet because it is the cure for diabetes. It will keep people healthy and live longer.
This is all part of the Physicians Committee for Social Responsibility.
This is not to put down the idea of a Vegan Truck, that's a great idea. Contact
me privately and I might invest in it. Really.
But, I think we are better off appealing to a person's well being, responsibility
to the Earth and all it's creatures, then taste buds.
People all over the world desire to eat healthily, and have a long healthy life.
PS: If anyone would like to contribute in other ways, please PM me. If you think about what is needed to get this off the ground: marketing, bookkeeping, food service equipment, paint, bus maintenance, flyers, menus, recipes, press exposure, business plan, and so on; I know there are experts and people with connections in this group. Thank you!
