Chili
about 100 calories per cup

Pour a bit of oil in the bottom of a large skillet. Put 3 to 5 tbsp chili powder in the oil and spread over the bottom of the skillet. Cook on high until the chili powder begins to smoke, and turn skillet to low.

Add 3 cloves of garlic (or to taste)
Add one large onion chipped finely
Add one large mushroom (optional) chopped finely.
Add 1 can of beans (your favorite) I used black beans.
Add 1 large can of finely diced tomatoes.

Add 1 cup textured soy, and you can fool meat lovers. It looks like ground cardboard until you cook it in the chili; whereupon, it looks like ground meat.

Add about 1 cup (to taste) pecante, hot, medium or mild, whichever you like.

Add about 1 tbsp (to taste) sugar or honey to make taste sweet and sour (the tomatoes are acid sour)

Salt and pepper to taste.

Simmer an hour on low.

Instead of just textured soy, I use soy chorizo in my chili.
