My Mum turned 70 today and I just found 2 totally white hairs. Instead of being pissed off or upset I find myself being really quite excited and happy about this. Anyone else experiencing non culturally appropriate responses to aging?

Well I'm only 28 and I have back problems and a small portion if my hearing is shot...My life as Benjamin Button has come to fruition but hey that's ok..Its what beer is for.

I don't give any thought, really. Other people do on my behalf, but it isn't a concern for me.

At least you found hair! ☺

Lols 🙂

I like to think I earned every one of them.

I can't go gray or wrinkle fast enough. I still look younger than my age--problematically so.

I have always appreciated all the seasons of life, all the turns in a process, every stage of a progression. Time goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday.

Absolutely. I love my gray hair -- except when I occasionally like to spice things up with a streak of green, blue, or purple. I haven't done a thing about my expression lines (what others refer to as 'wrinkles'😉 because I have earned each one by having the audacity to experience and express my emotions. I have also earned that extra chin, because.... food! (I turn 70 in December and am throwing myself an extravagant party to celebrate!)

That's exactly how I feel about expression lines; I even put it into a piece of creative writing somewhere. Nice to find someone who thinks similarly, thanks for sharing.

I started getting gray hairs at about 17

I have a 15 year old grandson and as his Gram, I have never baked him a cookie. We go on trips instead

I used to go on cookie trips in the early 1960s - a few of my girl friends liked baking, and their recipes were "interesting". 😉

@Petter I'm afraid my daughter would frown on me giving those cookies to my grandson LOL

@AmelieMatisse We gave one to my mother once.

@Petter ? ? ?
