In my opinion: People who are highly manipulative tend to have more sociopathic personalities compared to your average "control freak". I also tend to observe that those with manipulative tendencies are also compulsive liars. What are your thoughts?

I agree! My mother was a sociopath and she did indeed manipulate...and it was hard to spot until afterwards! She told lies, when the truth would have served her better! ‘Control freaks,’ just want control of things and that is usually to help them feel safe, in their world!
