Day two in the UK: Windsor, London, tours, food, and pubs!

First thing off the underground I get handed a card. I take it figuring it's an ad. NOPE it's a fucking tract. Couldn't throw it away fast enough. So if I had to see it, you do too. 😉

We took an open-top bus tour, then walked to the palace and around the city. Ate legit fish and chips, watched performers in Covant Gardens, and then had drinks at the Admiral Duncan public house, one of London's oldest gay clubs, which was the site of a bombing in 1999.

Sorry about the card. Not too many of them over here - mostly we just laugh at them.

Hope you are enjoying your time here - but fish and chips should eaten out of the paper watching the sun go down at the seaside. They never taste right on a plate and there isn't a restauraunt in the country that can get it quite right!

Have fun.

I'm surprised to hear about the religious card being handed to you like that. I didn't think that happened in the UK.

That's quite worrying.. The London Underground needs to remove these people. It's busy enough without these proselytizers.

Some rich Christian group will be funding that campaign no doubt.

The fish and chips looked lovely!

If you enjoyed Covent Garden, have a look at Camden Market - it's the same sort of thing but with attitude. And punks. LOTS of punks.

Awwww! I am so sorry to hear this - especially as a Londoner (gone up North). Try Greenwich Park and museum its very good views down to the River. The painted Hall is good too though Greenwich mean time clock biggest dissapointment ever!

We are going to Greenwich Monday. Thanks for the head’s up about the clock.

Some of my favorite sights of the day:

The only Tudor building left standing after the Great Fire of London in 1666...

Breathtaking architectural details...

Princess Diana's memorial walk...

This statue with my birthday--I noticed the inspiring quote after taking the photo and am making it a new life goal...

and the Lego store's model of Big Ben--especially important because the real one is shrouded in scaffolding during repairs.
