Personally, pretty good. The world at large, not so good.

I blame a lot of this angst on 24/7 news because trauma and crisis are rammed down our throats and if there isn't enough trauma and crisis, the media takes a situation and embellishes it. Twitter and FB pretty much spread fake or half true stuff constantly. We are bombarded constantly and it isn't healthy because our fuses are getting shorter. We all need to chill a bit

I so agree, my biggest fake is when people sneak in on instagram and know all these people you might know and then when I chat with them, they are no younger than a 25 year old faking pictures of people my age. We no longer have any one out there that can cut these fake people out ....I do not watch the news anymore but if I am on the computer there is always someone get smashed in an accident or some little toddler left in a hot car. And this is what they call news.

Life is always weird and throwing random things at me. And you?

You care to elaborate on this,, any rant is accepted here.

@TweedleDee
Holy socks! I could type several pages, but smile instead. 🙂

@Holysocks you must have a great sense of humor or a wonderful personality. I have pages but I burn them after I rant. I have to smile too

@TweedleDee
I did have disaster strike last year, and 30 minutes later, I was cracking jokes about it. 🙂

@Holysocks Then you are an exceptional human being. And here I thought I was the only one, When I had cancer that was all I did, wore funny hats and cracked jokes.. and it got me through it... Thanks you bring smiles to everyone..

@TweedleDee
You aren't the only one. Laughter really is the best medicine. Thank you for helping with that. A smile and a laugh from someone makes my day complete.

I do, however, suspect that my increasingly cynical and grumpy attitude is due to me changing and not necessarily the other people becoming more annoying.

Yes, I think the human race is caight up in some form of global insanity to the point where we are driving our own extinction and I believe many people have come to similar conclusions. Yet, instead of banding together, we become more and more concerned at our individual survival as opposed to the collective. Bat crazy shit!!

I do have to agree here that people all out for themselves today. I still try to show the manners as a way of being polite we can't help what others do but help who we have become. It does seem like all most people want to do is fight for stupid shit until one person wins or either dies... I grew up in the 60's and 70's,,, Beatles and all you need is Love was a time I thought we would band together...

Bad choices

2

Life isn't "treating me"....I'm control of life and make choices -- good or bad in hindsight --- but they are my own.

People have always had serious flaws including ignorance, selfishness, and greed....and some people are just prone to drama.
There is nothing new under the sun.... 😉

2

Become?

People are people, pretty much the same they've always been. We're just hearing more intimate details about other peoples' lives more often now because of constant surveillance

Sometimes I think it gets to be overboard on what people will do that sounds like it is off the wall and kind of crazy..

@TweedleDee I will concede the point that we do probably have stronger and more...trippy...drugs now than we used to, so that might account for some of the really weird stuff 😛

@ghost_warlock I totally agree with you. I even got some pain pills once that made me flip out... I say no thanks now..

@TweedleDee A few years ago I had a bunch of teeth pulled - finally got around to getting my wisdom teeth out and corrected a couple other issues. All they wrote a prescription for was Tylenol with codeine. It didn't even make me drowsy 😟

Life is good! It's the people in it that are driving me nuts. And I could probably walk there!

I manage. I seem to like it mostly these days

Thats good to hear, trying to balance out more good days helps you smooth over the bad ones. Positivity is the best way to be, but every now and then you can get annoyed or run into some crazies..

@TweedleDee crazies are everywhere, true

2

Unfortunately, not that great recently. Hope all has been going good for you.

I'm handling what I can at the moment. When there is too much going on I mean on TV or news or even the computer I leave it for a day. I try to take one day out of the week leave all things go. Things will look better the next day...

If people could only mind their own business and stick to idle chatter.

azzow2 Level 9 June 13, 2018

This is original,, I like this yes its the nosy people that seem to cause a lot of drama..

Naturally I choose 'crazy' because it's my moniker but crazy in the best way possible. I am happier than I ever imagined I could be. I spent most of my adult life caring for others and suddenly my caregiving is limited to my job. For this little space of time I can take care of myself, my garden and those that visit...friends, chipmunks, all kinds of birds that bring me flowers from other gardens, bunnies, cats, unfortunately and today I saw my first frog! awwww...hmmm, what was your question? 🙂

You are surrounded by the sweetness of the earth. Thats a great feeling you got there, even if life is a little crazy you have a wonderful abundance that blooms in front of you.

@TweedleDee awww, I feel like I just got an online hug! you are a gem, ty 🙂

People are animals. Literally.

Not all people are animals. But it is hard finding good people to talk to and have a relationship with on an intellectual level. Oh heck even on a normal level

You need other choices, I find that there are still many decent non-crazy people in this world, then again I live in Canada.

I have never been to Canada, but sounds like a nice place to live.

@TweedleDee It is safer and a more carrying society with a lot more socialists that over the year brought in good public educate, a social safety net and universal healthcare. We aren't prefect but most people live out their whole live never knowing anyone that was shot.

1

Life is what you make out of it..........and still cannot get a date, so go figure ?????????

Well how about your character name,,, I think you are somebody that has great potential, just a more uplifting name...

@TweedleDee I really appreciate the gesture and your comment. I am a good guy with a bogus identity and that spell bad vibe to say the least.... I know. Someone would be interested someday somehow....

I'm fortunate to have great friends who like to do fun things. Music always makes my day better and sometimes my nights better

But sometimes the routine gets boring and you have to mix things up. I know I do,,, I just wish there was more to do in my area. I have to travel to go to different functions. Glad that music is a great alternative for you.

1

Life doesn't give a crap about me one way or another, this given I'm in week long funk.

You gotta do things to change life happenings up... Routines can get you in the dull drums and make you feel less and in a funk... Spontaneous activities are hard when we are mature I don't like using the word older but wiser word is so much better, I actually started considering myself a Freshman to avoid the annoying word of Senior.. Hope the next week will be so much better for you..

Life is treating me well. I am reasonably healthy, own my on home, can pay my bills with enough left over to vacation a little, have three children and six grandchildren who are all doing well. And I feel loved by my family. I would feel guilty wanting or asking for more. I am now 88 and realizing that I could start that downhill slide at any time. I am sad, however, because of the tough times our country is facing right now. Since the 1970's the lower and middle class incomes have stagnated while the rich (the upper 1%) and large corporation incomes have soared into the stratosphere as they have bought our congressmen and the laws they pass. And whose fault is that? YOURS! Yours, meaning every citizen who quit voting, or maybe never has voted. If everyone, who is eligible to vote, voted, our worries would be over and congress would once again be filled with senators and representatives working for us. Think about it. Talk about it. Talk to your relatives, your friends, your neighbors, your fellow workers. Yes, it's eligible voters not voting who are responsible for this mess we're in. Let's each of us start taking action now.

1

IDGAF about what people think about me or ever did long ago. Get that out of your head and be yourself because everyone else is taken. Write that into your mind forever. If you would like an nice conversation, or a walk then let it go after which you will find other minds on the walk with or not Meeting a person is the most important thing to ever before making a statement about anyone after you looked into the Mirror. Slow and Easy wins the Race.

Shit. I'm leaving my wife of 10 years because she stopped loving me.

KevinL Level 4 June 14, 2018

I am sorry you are feeling this way. Hopefully everything will work out for you. People change and we can't see their point of view.

From a global perspective life is kind to me, and I am privileged and very lucky. I could have been born somewhere else making iPhones for almost nothing in a Chinese sweatshop, or working in an African mine, or being trafficked for sex. On the minute personal side, I find living is a struggle, as life has thrown me a very horrible curve ball, and I am mentally struggling. The worst question people ask is Hi, how are you? Why can’t they simply say Hello or Good morning. I seriously am at a loss with this very American greeting. Now when people ask me that question I say “I’m fucked up, my mum is dying”. Kind of different to “Fine” or “livin’ the dream!” So since you asked, life is a fucking bitch right now.

Livia Level 6 June 14, 2018

I do get where you are coming from, the kindness and greetings we all maybe used to seem to have vanished from this earth. So many will be for themselves but think they are showing you some support when really they only look for what's in it for themselves. This coldness of others I hope will just be a faz to making this world a better place. We can't change them but we can change ourselves.

No vote. Ask me how I treat life, ask me about me, not about life.

WTF? I mean really......
