[newsobserver.com] does anybody else read the weather forecast and hope that you die of a massive heart attack in order to avoid the challenges of next week? When the heat index feels like a 110 what do you think your car feels like when it's been sitting in the parking lot in the full sun after 8 hours?

Lol... lifes rough for the simple things, for people that don't par the course, for objects that serve mankind, for people that didnt do their homework, and so on. The car is to serve humans. It set out in 30 below weather for me in north Dakota and still had its purpose. You could boil water on the dash board in Dallas in summer and it still had purpose. What if grass could talk? Would you be a mass murderer cutting your lawn? Lol....

Fuhhhh...I tend to park strategically (both lots I use have a shaded area in the late afternoon) with the hood facing the sun. I put up a reflective visor which does help keep the truck cooler...relatively speaking. I mean its the difference between Satan's hot tub & his rotisserie.

I try to either leave work before traffic gets bad or stay late till traffic is done so I don't have to drive with a lot of hot & pissed off people who are more likely to do something stupid & cause an accident.

Guess I'll be ordering that new parasol I've had my eye on since I have about a half mile to walk & need portable shade. Hope its on sale.
