A woman should feel safe anywhere. She should not need to take protective measures to walk down the street. We should not as a society have to design parks to be safe for women. Women should be able to dress however they want. Woman should not need to walk everywhere in pairs. Women should be allowed to control their own fertility despite the desires of old white men to control every aspect of their lives. There should be no GST on feminine hygiene products.
Children should be safe from predators. Churches should not be able to hide behind the strictures of a made up mythology of desert nomads because a woman took dietary advice off a talking snake. The non existent superhero of the myths having being conceived by the supernatural rape of a teenager betrothed to another man, The rapist then ensuring his progeny of the rape was tortured to die because our maternal ancestor ate the fruit the talking snake encouraged her to eat.

We shouldn't have a society where we have to design protective measures for anybody, but unfortunately we do. Muggers, predatory lenders, pedophiles, politicians, rapists, religious zealots, scam artists, thieves....
The world is filled with treacherous people which we must fight a never ending battle to thwart. It would be nice if all of these low lifes would just simply disappear, but wish in on hand and shit in the other....

It's a nice dream, but unrealistic sorry. I'd love to be able to write my name and phone number on a pack of $100 bills and expect to get a phone call, but I won't be emptying my savings account to test that experiment.
Every woman I've talked with has had some level of sexual assault, even if it's just a creep rubbing against her in public. I only know one woman who has been on a dating site and never received a dick pic-not that I talk with lots of women about dick picks.
BTW, don't forget we estimate about 1/6 boys are molested before the age of 18 too, less than girls but this isn't a contest.

Women and girls are unsafe in America and around the world. Three supervisors tried to rape me between my ages of 18 and 21.
At age 19, my daughter was brutally beaten and raped in her bed at college. Now 28, she still has night terrors, panic attacks and PTSD.
It makes me so mad!
