If you are not outraged, then I question your morality as a human being.

I don't understand why everyone is blaming Trump for the treatment of the ILLEGALS at the border when he is just following the law that Clinton as well as Obama put into place!!! These illegals KNOW what will happen when they get stopped at the border... They won't be separated forever, just until tgey get cleared to leave... Im not a hard a$$ but they are trying to break the law!! Every criminal who breaks the law and goes to jail gets separated from their kids...

I saw a piece on T.V where a child of one years old was put in the dock in a court room if that is fake news then I am sorry for repeating it but it did seem that there were a fair few incidents of this happening with small children.

When we stop looking for differences and start seeing similarities we will begin to become a global people. We will have more power and possibility of a strong future because of it, just the same as any other kind of team work.

Outrage is not strong enough to describe my feelings about this. When l see the pictures, when l try to imagine what these families are feeling, l get a knot in my stomach and an anger l haven't felt in a long time.

Inhumane, inmoral, and shows you are a pile of shit to think this is anything that is not bad. Children need their parents.

I keep hearing the ‘This is not who we are’ line. Until someone does something to stop it, it’s exactly who we are.

Unfortunately it's exactly who we have always been as a country. Selling families apart in slavery, massive forced reeducation of Native American children to eradicate their culture, children of the people that make up our massively high prison population. It is bad though, and shouldn't be happening

During the slavery era children were often sold away from their parents. Native American children were taken from their families and sent to boarding schools. Japanese families were separated during WWII.

This is exactly who we are, and it needs to change.

Herr Trump and his Neo-Nazis have no morality.

Clinton passed the law!!! The law to separate the children from their parents until they get transferred out of the country... Trump is just enforcing the law!! The democrats had 16 years to change it and never did... Why??

There are kids in almost identical situations in our country already. Nobody has to put down their flavor of compassion to adopt yours, that is an obvious logical detail, here.

For sure I am upset, but I also don't think this should be a reason to let this bigoted regime have everything else they want on the future of immigration in order to end it. These policies will affect people including asylum seekers and their children for a long time to come. This is a disgusting publicity stunt to get his way with making things harder for immigrants and to take the spotlight from other bad things he has done and is doing. It seems to be working well. It's all anyone wants to talk about.
I'm not trying to be heartless. My children's father is from Guatemala. Those kids look like my kids and their family. I went through his deportation and it destroyed my life at the time and many of my family relationships forever. I have dealt with our unfair, slow, awful beurocratic immigration system with his case and many others in his family. We cannot let the Trump administration shape the future of this process.

Very true but I think it would be a good time to start thinking of North Americans rather than US, Canadian or Mexican citizens. But then again Canada might not like being overrun by US citizens

Something has shifted in our general U.S. population. Trump has committed one outrage after another, but a large (too large) segment of the population continues to support him. He has alienated long time allies, made horrible remarks about women (grab them by the pussy), denied climate change, to name a few. Now he supports ripping families apart. I fear for the future of the U.S. if this trend continues.

5

Especially given that the countries the families are fleeing have the highest per capita murder rates in the world.

All the governments in Europe in the last eight years have been elected on immigration. It being used as part of the "Politics Of Fear" and is racist. The world is becoming more fragmented with each country "Our Country' first.
