That's far more about what's going on with you at the time, than the person you're meeting. As has already been said, if he's sympathetic, concerned, and sees that it means you're a really good person, celebrate! If he can't understand why you're feeling that way, good to know right away so you don't have to bother with him again. If he's been understanding, get back in touch, and tell him he was very kind.

I am a firm believer in bad first impressions, let them see the real you and the right one will love you for it.

Depends on the person. Some men can be pretty understanding.

Hindsight is 20/20 - but you definitely should have rescheduled that meet and greet. Maybe give it a little time and contact him again and explain that you're much better now?
