Happiness is like a mirage in the desert.
Until you are happy being in the desert, you will always pursue happiness (the mirage) and never obtain it.
Once you are happy, the mirage means nothing to you.

I think happiness is a mean not a goal. It isn't about receiving something, it's more about serving others.

I'm inclined to agree with Aristotle... Happiness is active. You do happiness rather than being. If you don't exercise it, it withers.

For those of us in the USA 999 equals our 911.
